During her seven-year stint on the
AFR she reported on the sharemarket, companies’ performances and commercial property, and lived in both Sydney and Melbourne.
She later became Deputy Editor of the business section of the
Herald Sun, where she remained for nearly two years before moving to Western Australia.
She now lives in WA's Margaret River region which gives her access to good wine – which she never touches when writing.
Nicola FieldNicola Field is a chartered accountant, who specialised in the area of tax and small business. Following a career change, Nicola spent several years teaching accounting, finance and business.
Nicola has been a contributing writer to
Money Magazine for four years, and is currently our “Love and Money” feature writer. She has worked as a researcher on several of Paul Clitheroe’s books, and co-authored Paul’s latest book –
Financial Snakes and Ladders.
Nicola lives in and works from the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, where she shares a farm with her partner, her three children and a growing number of dogs and horses.
Peter Freeman
Peter Freeman is a former Managing Editor of
The Australian Financial Review who has been writing on all aspects of investing for over 20 years. He helped launch the personal finance section of
The Sydney Morning Herald and the
Financial Review’s Smart Money section, and has been editor of both sections. More recently he was involved in the launch of
Money Magazine. He is the magazine’s consulting editor as well as a writer for
The Bulletin. His special areas of expertise are superannuation and tax.
Ross Greenwood
Ross Greenwood, for the past four years, has been the editor-in-chief of the weekly UK magazine
Shares. He is one of the founders of
Shares, which won the UK publishing industry's magazine launch of the year award in 2000. The magazine won three other major journalism and publishing awards. His television experience in the UK includes being a regular commentator on the BBC, CNN, Sky News and Bloomberg. He was a regular presenter of BBC Five Live's key business program,

In Australia, Ross was editor of

The Age's money section. Ross was responsible for the creation of Shares magazine, of which he was managing editor. In television he was a presenter on Network 10's
Healthy Wealthy and Wise, and was the finance presenter for
Good Morning Australia. He also hosted finance programs for ABC radio.
Susan Hely
Susan Hely was associate editor of
Personal Investor Magazine and editor of superannuation magazine,
Superfunds. She is the author of a best selling financial guide, Women & Money. She has been a financial journalist with the
Australian Financial Review and the
Sydney Morning Herald.
Anthony O’Brien
Anthony O’Brien is a regular contributor to Money, the
Australian Worker and industry journal
Transport Today. He has also written for
The Bulletin.
He's also worked in communication roles at IBM, BT Australia and Link Telecommunications as well as in government and as a PR consultant. Anthony has a BA, and an MA in Political Economy from Macquarie University.
Anthony worked extensively with Paul Clitheroe on
The Road to Wealth (published by Viking, 2001) and has contributed to updates of Paul's bestseller

Terry Ryder
Terry Ryder is the author of four books on residential real estate, including
Real Estate Without Agents published on August 1, 2004.
A researcher and writer on real estate since 1982, Terry published
Confessions of a Real Estate Agent in 1998, followed by
Buyer Beware in 2001 and
Property Smart in 2002.
The books draw on his experience in the 1980s and 1990s as Property Editor of
The Courier-Mail in Brisbane, property correspondent to
The Australian Financial Review and
Business Queensland, and research and publicity consultant to developer and agency clients.
Today Terry writes real estate articles for national magazines, including

He is regularly interviewed about real estate issues on radio stations around the nation and has appeared on TV programs such as

Chris WalkerChris is a senior writer with
Money, and co-author, with Paul Clitheroe, of the best-selling
Making Money and
Penguin Pocket Money Series of personal finance books.
He is also the principal of Newport-based Barrenjoey Communications, a freelance writing and public relations consultancy.
Chris has a diverse background in media, marketing, real estate, travel and horticulture, and has a BA and MBA from Macquarie University.
Pam Walkley
Pam Walkley is a widely experienced finance journalist. She started her career at the Melbourne Age while studying for a commerce degree at Melbourne University.
Throughout her career Pam has specialised in business, investing and property, taking over as Editor of
Australian Property News in 1984, at the same time as writing for
BRW and Personal Investment magazines. In 1988 she moved to the Australian Financial Review as Property Editor and later become News Editor and Chief of Staff of the AFR, a position she held for about seven years, with a one-year break when she was national communications director for one of the world’s largest real estate consultants, Jones Lang LaSalle.
In early 1999 she moved to Australian Consolidated Press to launch Money Magazine, which quickly become Australia’s biggest-selling personal investment magazine. As well as editing Money, Pam writes regularly on real estate investing for The Bulletin.
Effie Zahos
Money’s deputy editor has had over 10 years experience in the finance industry. Starting from the ground up, as a graduate trainee for one of Australia’s major banks, she moved from corporate to TV in 1997, kick- starting her career in journalism as head researcher for Channel Nine’s successful
Money Show. She now writes for
Money and
The Bulletin, specialising in consumer banking issues. Effie also regularly appears on Channel 9’s
Mornings with Kerri-Anne as their personal finance editor.
