Goodman Holdings offloads group shares

Goodman Holdings Pty Ltd has sold almost 70 million ordinary securities of property trust Goodman Group as part of a family reorganisation.

"Greg and Patrick Goodman advise that Goodman Holdings Pty Ltd has sold 69.6 million Goodman Group (GMG) securities as part of a family reorganisation," Goodman Group said in a statement on Friday.

"Greg Goodman remains committed as group chief executive officer and to the development and growth of GMG."

Following the sale, Goodman Holdings retained 5,995,922 ordinary shares and 9.7 million options in Goodman Group.

The statement said Goodman Holdings and its shareholders were in "active negotiations" to acquire a future stake in Goodman Group through an asset for equity swap.

"The acquisition, as previously announced to the market, involves a substantial business park at Moorabbin in Melbourne and will be subject to board and securityholder approval," the statement said.

"Greg Goodman has and will continue to have a significant interest in Goodman Holdings."

Patrick Goodman is a director of the company.
