Australia shares open 0.4 percent firmer

WELLINGTON, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Australian shares opened 0.4
percent firmer on Thursday, led by miners as metal prices rose.
The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index <.AXJO> rose 17.9 points to
4,558 at 2312 GMT.
New Zealand's benchmark NZX 50 index <.NZ50> was flat at
3,168.2
