Gold rises back above $1,060/oz as dollar falls

LONDON, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Spot gold rose back above $1,060
per ounce on Monday, bringing a recent record high at $1,070.40
in sight as the dollar extended losses against the euro on
stronger than expected U.S. manufacturing data.
By 1504 GMT, spot gold had hit a session high of $1,062.70
per ounce, compared with $1,044.40 quoted late in New York on
Friday. The dollar index was last down 0.3 percent <.DXY>.
